Analisis Kualitatif Dan kuantitatif Metabolit Sekunder Ekstrak Etanol Buah Okra (abelmoschusesculentus L. Moench) Dengan Metode Spektrofotometri UV-VIS



ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the content of secondary metabolites and the levels of total secondary metabolites in ethanol extract of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L. Moench) with UV-Vis Spectrophotometry. Okra extract (Abelmoschus esculentus L. Moench). Was Prepared by maceration method with 96% ethanol. The obtained extract was concentrated using a rotary evaporator followed by qualytative test for alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins and tanins using suitable reagents with the test parameters, while for the qualitative assay using a UV-Vis Spectrophotometry. Qualitative analysis of alkaloid using test parameters total alkaloid quinine equivalent, flavonoid parameter equivalent total flavonoid quercetin, saponin using parameters total saponin from the quilaja bark and tanin using test parameters tanine equivalen total tannic acid. Qualitative test results indicated that the ethanol extract of okra fruit positive contains alkaloids charaterized by the orange deposition, flavonoids characterized by the formation of an orange yellow color, a stable foam for saponins and tanins marked in black. Quantitative test results alkaloids 2,228.06 mg/gram, flavonoids 2.79 %(b/b), saponins 10.03 %(b/b), and tanins 1,973.27 mg/gram.
